Our Key Proposals for a Healthy Future: 2017-18
- BACAPH discussion paper on priority setting - This paper sets out a proposed framework to guide priority setting within BACAPH. It is hoped that this will support transparent and effective decisions about organisational priorities such as topics for policy and advocacy work.
- Family friendly framework - this framework for planning, delivery, and improvement of services for children and families was produced in conjunction with the British Association for Community Child Health. Supporting documents, including FAQs and a slide set on how to use the framework are provided. A short YouTube video is available, as is a blog from BACAPH co-chair, Simon Lenton, who was closely involved in the development of the framework.
- Why children die: death in infants, children and young people in the UK - this analysis of mortality in childhood in the UK and associated policy recommendations was produced in conjunction with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and the National Children's Bureau. Full details, including responses from the UK's constituent nations, are available on the RCPCH website here.
- Measuring National Well-being: Children and Young People - The reasons for measuring national well-being are not stated in this consultation paper, however the ONS website states: "ONS is developing new measures of national well-being. The aim is to provide a fuller picture of how society is doing by supplementing existing economic, social and environmental measures"
